The message this time was: Emotions make you weak and/or emotions make you strong.
The message came from a sci-fi movie at the middle of a fight!
So, why are emotions so important and how can they make you weak or strong?
Emotions come from a thought about an experience that you are having in life. These thoughts come extremely fast and they hide as part of the emotions but in reality that thought is the one that is driving the emotion.
And in order to control or to decide if you want to keep having that emotion first you need to be aware that you have a thought about it.
And the key to doing it is to slow down. Life is not about doing, it’s about being but the accepted stance in society is that doing is the purpose of life. This glorification of doing is what is keeping most of the population going so fast, having so many thoughts that it is very difficult to grasp that those thoughts are driving emotions.
Once you start to slow down, you start perceiving that you are having those thoughts and you can decide if you want to keep having them. With that realization one can CHOOSE which thoughts to keep and which to discard, thus guiding conciously the ones that represent who you really are being In that given moment in life and guiding the emotions of your being.
BEING aware of your thoughts, of your emotions and CHOOSING to keep having them puts you back in control, back in the steering wheel of what we call life.
Masters live in this state and thus are not perturbed by what is happening in the world. They live in constant awareness of what aspect of life they want to experience at any given moment instead of just reacting to it. They CREATE what they want to experience at any given moment instead of reacting to it.
If one lives life as a reaction, one is at the mercy of thoughts and emotions and they make one weak.
If one lives life as a creation, one is in control of those thoughts and emotions and becomes a BEING.
So let’s start by slowing down.
